Lissadell
Lissadell is a small beach 15mins north of Sligo. It is situated on the grounds of Lissadell House, an old manor house that has links to the Yeats Family.
The beach is small and the water is shallow for a good distance out. There is a large tidal difference in the beach and there is a deeper channel further out.
The beach is suitable for South to South East winds and it can be quite gusty here.
Directions:
Go through Sligo and out the other side. Keep going outthe bundoran road.
Go straight through the first village (Rathcormac).
Go into the next village (Drumcliffe) and take a left for Carney / Lissadell.
Follow the road around to the left out of Carney.
You come to a sign on the left for Lissadell House and turn left.
It looks like someones driveway because it kind of is. The old gatehouse to the estate is just inside the turn.
Go down the lane till you come to the beach. You can park on the grass.
Please be respectful because this is private property.
