Rosnowlagh
Rosnowlagh is a beach 5 miles from Ballyshannon in Donegal. It gets very busy in the summer with holidaymakers and surfers.
It's a wide open beach at low tide but disappers when the tide is in.
You can drive on some of the beach but please be carful as it can be quite crowded.
Dont leave your lines spread out on the beach as people love to drive over them.
Rosnowlagh is good for South West to North West winds. The can be a lot of swell at this beach.
Directions from Sligo:
Head towards Donegal. Bypass Bundoran and Ballyshannon.
Follow directions to Rosnowlagh off the roundabout after bypassing Ballyshannon. You will soon come to another roundabout and again just follow the sign to Rosnowlagh. After about 10-15 minutes along this road and after passing a friary/church, you will come to another sign on your left pointing to the turnoff to the beach. Turn right when you reach the sandhouse hotel and this will take you to the end of the beach that it is safe to kite on (no swimmers and such). And bam you're there!
