Streega
Streega is a large beach 20mins north of Sligo town.
The beach is best for North to North West winds.
There can be a big swell at this beach
There is no room to launch when the tide is fully in.
Directions:
Drive through Sligo for Bundoran. Get to a village called Grange and turn left for Streega. Follow the road down and right, following the signs for the spanish armada.
Go through a few cattle grates until you see the beach.
There is a small beach on the left that is unsuitable for kitesurfing; follow the road to the right.
The beach is on the left over a line of stones. Streega lagoon is on the right.
The lagoon fills at high tide and can be kiteable.
Beware of cows!
