The Northwest of Ireland is one
of the best areas in Europe for watersports.
Long known for the amazing surf breaks in areas such as Bundoran, Easky
and Strandhill, the LSD region has also become a hotspot for the sport
of Kitesurfing.
The LSD region hosts an incredible variety of large,
sandy beaches that are next to deserted all year around. Riders in the
area have a choice of riding waves or flat water, and can ride in all
wind directions. As many visitors to the Northwest have discovered, the
LSD region can be very windy, with SW the prevailing wind direction.
These factors make the LSD region ideal for starting, improving or perfecting
your kitesurfing skills.
There's a serious stretch in the evenings these days and with the recent rise in temperatures, conditions are perfect to learn the great sport of kitesurfing. Beginner classes are now being run during the evenings, Monday to Friday. One session of three hours is done each evening, starting at 4.30. Sessions can also be run at any other time during the day, and of course at weekends.

We are running a ladies training event this weekend.
Unfortunatly, this is a closed event, and all the spaces are booked.
We will have some gear on demo for the weekend, the Flexifoil Atoms, Ion3
and Delta board, the Aboards Flip and Z-series boards, the Peter Lynn
Synergy, Eamon's Hadlow Pro's and hopefully Paul's new Ocean Rodeo Rise's
will have arrived.
We may also have the new Sooruz clothing collection for all the ladies

Big
thanks to everyone who made the trip to Sligo for the weekend. We had
epic conditions with plenty of wind and sun. The conditions were
fairly challenging with a vicious chop making it hard to load up to do
tricks, and the wind was a little up and down too. Of course thats no
excuse for anyone, and a big congratulations to all the winners.
Local rider and
LSD Kiteboarding instructor Eamon Armstrong crushed his younger cousin
and LSD Kiteboarding boss, Peter Armstrong in the first heat of the mens
Pros, and went on to win the competition. Eamon was riding the Flexi Atom
for a change, proving its a kite for everyone and any style of riding.

Well done also to Dominika Kupicw for taking the ladies title after a
troublesome first heat where she found herself well overpowered. After
changing down to her 6m, she came through the double eliminator and into
the final to claim the title.

Nailer took the amature title, while Gavin Yeates sneaked back into the novice category on a formality and took the title there.
