Wainman Hawaii Blunt Series
They Say...
The Blunts are for the people. Getting to the point: these boards are made for ripping. While some might say that compromising sucks, every intermediate free rider, for whom those versatile twin tipped boards are made, definitely would not agree.
To come back from every session stoked, a board needs to handle any condition that the rider may encounter, and adjust to any mood the rider is in. At the end of the day, it really is all about the ride. It is so important that the power and huge potential given by the kite will be utilized properly. It does not matter what the conditions are when you show up with a Blunt, because this board handles it all. A true freerider wants to show up with one board, throw up a kite, and enjoy the ride. A Blunt always makes it a fun ride.
We Say...
The description above is pretty accurate, its hard to come by a board that is so easy to use, forgiving and capable of really pushing every ounce of your limit. This years Blunt is a few grams heavier but also more durable than last years, which was the lightest production kiteboard on the market. The shape is the same as last year too, but with a new flex pattern to help hold it in the most powered carves.
CHOOSING YOUR SIZE
Naturally Blunts are made proportionally for different sizes of riders. This, along with the average wind conditions that you normally experience should be your main factors in choosing your size. Here is our recommendations for each size of the board, and the type of rider it suits:
125: One-Twenty five is now the smallest of Blunts and it is made for the lighter riders. It is also a great toy for the advanced medium-sized riders who need to have a special weapon for stronger winds. This is the favorite size of Lou for windy Maui days (30 knots). For the moderate wind conditions, One-Twenty Five is the ideal board for kite-girls and kids.
130: One-Thirty is the all around must for the medium sized rider. Because it was the top board choice of our customers, we did not change much and tried to keep all the great characteristics of the original Blunt. On moderate wind days, it is optimally suited for those medium sized guys!
135: One-Thirty Five is now probably the new school choice of the Blunt series. As a result of the boards sweet balance of the dimensions, this size of Blunt guarantees a great range for every rider. One-Thirty Five will ensure riders will be covered for winds ranging from powered breezes to fully powered winds. It is the perfect size for improving your new school moves faster than ever.
137W: One-Thirty Seven Wide is an optional choice that is perfect for heavy riders or people in need of a low wind weapon. As we gave the 137 W a lower rocker and gave more stiffness in the construction compared to all the other sizes, it is a perfect blend for the above-mentioned riders needs.
